Sakura-Con 2010 announces World Premiere of TRIGUN Movie-Badlands Rumble-and new Japanese Guests!
Seattle, WA 02-22-2010
ANCEA (Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association) is proud to present the thirteenth annual Sakura-Con April 2-4 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Downtown Seattle Washington.

TRIGUN the Movie -Badlands Rumble – Makes its world Premiere at Sakura-Con 2010!
See this movie before it is released in theaters by attending Sakura-Con 2010.

What's "TRIGUN"?
The legend of an unparalleled gunman, wrapped in a crimson coat...
Vash the Stampede is not a stranger to anime fans.

"TRIGUN", serialized in "Monthly Young King Ours", was Yasuhiro Nightow's original science fiction cyber Western comic, becoming a smash hit TV anime in 1998. This exceptional gunman, though a outlaw with a bounty on his head, chants "Love & Peace" as the main character, Vash the Stampede, and is an absolute pacifist. Though aloof and carefree at first glance, he is a beacon of hope for humanity and their struggles, a person whose fans empathize with regardless of their gender.

The original work and TV animation was widely introduced overseas, and has gained popularity internationally, and is particularly popular in the United States.

After the conclusion of the comic book, TRIGUN received the 2009 Nebula Award.

TRIGUN Badlands Rumble is the first movie from the franchise and is much anticipated by fans.

In honor of the premiere, guests of honor from the project are expected. Our first two confirmed guests are Satoshi Nishimura and Takahiro Yoshimatsu.

Satoshi Nishimura worked for years as an animator on numerous anime titles providing key animation and story board work. Some popular series he did such work on include Alien Nine, Card Captor Sakura, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, Paradise Kiss, Revolutionary Girl Utena and more. Later, Mr. Nishimura became a Director with several equally notable titles to his credit, including TRIGUN TV, and Hajime no Ippo. Mr. Nishimura's latest title is TRIGUN Badlands Rumble.

Takahiro Yoshimatsu is an animator with numerous character design and animation credits to his name. He's worked on many titles, including Future GPX Cyber Formula, Slayers the Movie,TRIGUN, Jubei-chan, Muryou Gakuen Senki, Ninja Scroll, Full Metal Alchemist Chibi Party, Panyo Panyo Digi Carat, and Digi Carat, the Super Milk Chan Show and many more.
Mr. Yoshimatsu is also famous as a manga author named “Something Yoshimatu”, known for "Sega no Game wa Sekai Ichio". Mr. Yoshimatsu's lastest work is the movie TRIGUN Badlands Rumble in which he is the Character Designer.

MOI DIX MOIS TO ROCK ANIME EXPO® 2009 AS OFFICIAL GUEST OF HONOR(admin, ::am)
Malice Mizer Front Man, Mana, to Attend Nation¹s Largest Anime and Manga
Convention

Anaheim, California (June 17, 2009) ‹ Visual kei fans get ready for a
musical explosion as Moi dix Mois rocks Anime Expo® 2009 as an official
Guest of Honor for the nation¹s largest anime and manga convention held July
2-5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. More information can be
found on the website www.anime-expo.org.

Moi dix Mois is a sound project headed by Mana, the consummate guitarist and
leader of Malice Mizer which is on indeterminate hiatus. In addition to
writing music and lyrics, Mana does all of the computer programming and
arrangements for his songs. Mana¹s strikingly electrifying and
unprecedented musical creation is the result of his remarkable talent to
combine the diametrical opposites, such as the classical and the
avant-garde, the elegant and the delirious, or the creative and the
destructive.

Moi dix Mois jump-started its career on March 19 (Mana¹s birthday), 2002.
The group¹s name is a term coined by Mana. ŒMoi¹ means Œme¹ (that is Mana),
and Œdix Mois¹ means Œ10 months¹ in French. The implied meaning of dix Mois
is the birth and the beginning, coming from the 10-month period of human
fetal development as an embryo in the mother¹s womb. Also, number 10 has
been given a special connotation by Mana; a combination of Œ1¹ representing
the start, and Œ0¹ implying the potential eternity or infinity.

Moi dix Mois will electrify concert goers at the nation¹s largest anime and
manga event over the 4th of July weekend as the 2nd official concert!

Moi dix Mois joins other Anime Expo® 2009 Official Guests of Honor Hiroyuki
Imaishi, Daisuke Ishiwatari, Yun Kouga, Yosuke Kuroda, Toshimichi Mori,
Toshiyuki Morikawa, Morning Musume, Yasuhiro Nightow, Atsushi Nishigori,
